The Three Guardians | Artisan Elephant Sculpture Set

This trio brings together three handcrafted elephant figurines from the De Rosa Collection, each drawn from a different region: Asia, Africa, and East Africa's Samburu lands. Formed and painted by hand in Uruguay, each sculpture is unique, carrying detailed textures, layered glazes, and elegant accents in gold and platinum.
Each piece carries its own voice. Its own weight. Together, they represent legacy, strength, and quiet dignity.

1. Asian Elephant

Dimensions: 20×10×12 cm | Issue Year: 2016
This sculpture holds a sense of calm rootedness. The form is wide and low, conveying power without aggression. The patterns carved into its surface hint at ancient temple carvings and ceremonial garb. The use of soft gold and earth tones, punctuated by bright enamel accents in orange and green, gives the piece both warmth and cultural depth.
The elephant’s gaze is soft, but knowing. The ears curve inward like a scroll, the trunk slightly curled. This piece feels old in a good way, like something found in a monastery garden. It suggests patience, longevity, and quiet memory. It speaks of cycles, of time, of presence.

2. Samburu Elephant

Dimensions: 12×10×17 cm | Issue Year: 2015
The Samburu Elephant stands tall and slender by contrast. The sculpted patterns across its head and neck are splendidly decorated, like traditional textiles or beadwork. Deep blues and shiny blacks wrap the figure like ceremonial robes. The gold touches at the base and tusks lift the design into something celebratory.
This sculpture has a regal verticality. Its raised trunk, forward stance, and arching posture make it feel alert, but composed. It gives off the energy of leadership: steady, protective, but present. It doesn’t shout, but it’s clearly in command.

3. African Elephant

Dimensions: 17×11×14 cm | Issue Year: 2010
Full-bodied and richly textured, this sculpture bursts with movement. Its raised trunk spirals upward in a classic gesture of good luck, while its body is coated in a dynamic pattern of blues, whites, golds, and warm ivory. The design looks almost like abstract feathers or flowing cloth - ceremonial, rhythmic, celebratory.
Where the Asian elephant is grounded and the Samburu figure is noble, this African elephant feels alive. The sculpture holds joy in its curves. Its feet are wide and round. Its ears fan outward with intent. It feels like a gesture. A welcome.
This trio isn’t just global in theme; it’s emotionally varied. Each elephant presents a different mood: the contemplative weight of the Asian Elephant, the poised dignity of the Samburu, the joyful momentum of the African Elephant.
They reflect three ways of being strong: by being still, by standing tall, and by moving with joy. In a collection, they play off each other beautifully. In a home, they speak to different corners of the soul.
This bundle is a quiet meditation on memory, culture, and how beauty is shaped by region, but also by hand.
