The Golden Meadow | Handcrafted Pig Figurine Family Set

This rich and endearing bundle brings together five hand-carved ceramic pig sculptures from the De Rosa Collections. Crafted with remarkable attention to detail, each figure carries the warmth of traditional craftsmanship and the glow of gold, platinum, and enamel.
Together, they form a family: soft, rounded, contented; a visual metaphor for comfort, abundance, and peace.
Each piece is made in Uruguay using a detailed, 100% handmade process. The result is a collection that’s not only collectible, but soulful and rooted in a long-standing tradition of ceramic art.

1. Striped Pig Figurine

Dimensions: 10×06×06 cm (3 7/8″×2 3/8″×2 3/8″) | Issue Year: 2009
This full-bodied pig is finished in soft ivory and pale rose tones, cut through with textured white panels outlined in gold and streaked with pale blue enamel. The surface is divided into angular sections, like a patchwork of polished shields. Its ears, snout, and tail glint with polished gold, adding contrast to the matte textures elsewhere.
The design is peaceful but structured. The lines are geometric, yet softened by gentle curves. It stands as a symbol of prosperity, stability, and quiet strength - a grounded presence in any space.

2. Baby Striped Pig Figurine

Dimensions: 07×04×05 cm (2 3/4″×1 5/8″×1 7/8″) | Issue Year: 2009
Smaller in size but every bit as thoughtful in design, the baby striped pig mirrors its larger counterpart. The sculpting maintains the same angular patchwork, but with a slight rounding of features - more playful, more lighthearted.
Together, the two form a symbolic duo: heritage and hope, elder and youth, foundation and future. Their tones mimic each other, and their pairing brings a subtle harmony into the scene.

3. Piglet Sitting Orange

Dimensions: 07×05×05 cm (2 3/4″×1 7/8″×1 7/8″) | Issue Year: 2018
This cheerful piglet is rendered in a glowing orange floral glaze, patterned with delicate star-like blossoms that blanket its body. The gold-dipped ears and snout give a rich finish, while its seated posture - calm, alert, still - makes it feel alive and observant.
Orange, in many cultures, is associated with joy, play, and energy. This piglet captures that spirit. It doesn’t ask for attention, for it simply radiates warmth.

4. Piglet Standing Pink

Dimensions: 07×05×05 cm (2 3/4″×1 7/8″×1 7/8″) | Issue Year: 2018
This standing piglet features a soft pink floral pattern across its coat, dotted with hints of silver and peach. Its pose feels expectant, maybe curious. The shape is balanced and solid, but its face carries a softness - an openness that draws the viewer in.
With polished gold hooves and inner ears, this piece feels quietly elegant. It bridges the ornamental and the organic.

5. Piglet Sitting Pink

Dimensions: 07×05×05 cm (2 3/4″×1 7/8″×1 7/8″) | Issue Year: 2018
The final piece in this bundle is the pink twin to the orange-seated piglet. It shares the same relaxed pose but brings a gentler tone: blush pink with finely carved floral motifs, each petal glazed with care. Its snout is slightly upturned, giving it a subtly playful air.
Together, the three piglets form a triad of innocence, charm, and natural beauty. They don’t imitate life because they reinterpret it, blending the fantastical with the familiar.
In many traditions, pigs symbolize abundance, fertility, and simple joy. But more than that, they are creatures of the earth - humble, grounded, and misunderstood. De Rosa’s pigs are not caricatures. They carry dignity. Their patterns speak of care. Their forms evoke a kind of sacred domesticity, a life that values what is near, warm, and real.
Grouped together, these five create not only a family unit but a miniature landscape of emotion and meaning. There's lineage in the striped pair. There's youthful energy and softness in the three piglets. And there is a quiet lesson in their stillness: that beauty often hides in the everyday.
