Spirits of the Savannah | Leopard, Panther & Cheetah Figurine Set
This striking four-piece collection brings together some of nature’s most iconic predators: the leopard, the black panther, the cheetah, and its cub - each captured in handmade ceramic form by De Rosa. Sculpted and painted entirely by hand in Uruguay, each figurine is one-of-a-kind, shaped from ceramic, then finished with layers of enamel, gold, and platinum.
But this bundle is more than an homage to wildlife. It’s a study in movement, instinct, and primal beauty, where every line, glaze, and curve evokes the living spirit of the wild.
1. Leopard Figurine
Dimensions: 14×07×09 cm (5 1/2″ × 2 3/4″ × 3 1/2″) | Issue Year: 2025
The leopard crouches with a watchful gaze. Its golden body ripples with hand-painted black rosettes, each carved with variation and depth. Though still, the posture suggests motion - muscles held in suspense, tail tucked slightly in. Gold-accented paws rest softly on the base as if ready to pounce.
In symbolism, the leopard is patience embodied: power without noise, motion without waste. In many cultures, it is both protector and predator, often a symbol of leadership born not from fear, but from precision.
This figurine doesn’t speak loudly. It only stares back.
2. Black Panther Figurine
Dimensions: 14×07×09 cm (5 1/2″ × 2 3/4″ × 3 1/2″) | Issue Year: 2025
Carved in the same pose as its leopard counterpart, this panther turns shadow into sculpture. The textured black glaze is layered with dark silver undertones and highlighted in glints of gold. Its eyes hold an ancient calm, as if the figure knows far more than it lets on.
Black panthers are a rare genetic expression, a phenomenon. They represent mystery, resistance, and inner strength. This figurine, with its cloaked presence, feels almost meditative - a creature that blends into darkness but always sees clearly.
3. Cheetah Figurine
Dimensions: 09×06×13 cm (3 1/2″ × 2 3/8″ × 5 1/8″) | Issue Year: 2024
This cheetah stands tall with its back arched and gaze set forward. Its coat is golden and warm, covered in spiraled black spots, each one individually hand-painted. The face is sharp but serene. The tail curls in a resting loop; a rare moment of pause for a creature defined by motion.
The cheetah symbolizes swiftness, yes, but also focus. It doesn’t chase everything - only the one thing it chooses. In this piece, the grace is in restraint. A tribute to clarity of aim.
4. Baby Cheetah Figurine
Dimensions: 06×05×08 cm (2 3/8″ × 1 7/8″ × 3 1/8″) | Issue Year: 2024
This little cub brings a softness to the set. It sits upright with wide, curious eyes and short, rounded limbs. Its fur mimics the adult’s, with coiled black markings carved into the glaze. A slight smile softens the jawline, giving the piece a rare warmth.
In a group of figures built on power and stealth, this one reminds us of potential. A future hunter not yet shaped by the world, only watching it. It brings balance and a touch of tenderness to the otherwise regal energy of the collection.
This set is a meditation on form, on how stillness can suggest motion, and silence can carry strength. Each figure sits, but none feel idle. Their eyes are alert. Their postures are alive.
Together, the panther and leopard show two shades of the same energy: one golden and open, the other hidden in shadow. The cheetahs add contrast: the adult teaches us how to move rapidly with purpose, and the cub shows us how to wait, to learn, to grow.
None of these animals were made to be pets. They are reminders of the untamed, the elegant, solitary, and wild. This bundle honors them without turning them into decoration. It respects their symbolism, their anatomy, and their presence.
These are tributes...
