These handcrafted Maneki Neko (Beckoning Cats) are made by Kakinuma Dolls, a workshop in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, known for its Edo Art Dolls. Each figure blends tradition with modern design, using Nishijin-ori, a high-quality Kyoto silk weaving technique, along with Swarovski crystal eyes, natural power stones for the collar bell, and enamel detailing. This combination of fine materials gives the figurines a refined texture, vivid colors, and a lifelike presence.
The raised paw of the Maneki Neko is a traditional symbol in Japan believed to attract good fortune, prosperity, and positive opportunities. The left paw raised is said to invite customers and people, while the right paw raised is linked to attracting wealth and success. These small-sized cats are ideal for display in homes, shops, offices, or as meaningful gifts for occasions such as store openings, anniversaries, business launches, and housewarmings.
Each piece is individually handcrafted, so the placement of patterns will vary, making every cat unique. The lightweight yet durable body is formed from high-performance resin covered in rayon fabric, carefully applied to maintain the contours of the design. A matching cushion is included for display, adding to its decorative appeal.
These Maneki Neko figurines are not only decorative objects but also carry cultural and symbolic significance, making them timeless keepsakes that bridge Japanese tradition and contemporary artistry.
