The Indigo (Space, Rim) plate by Mori Toki is a hand-crafted piece of Otani ware from Tokushima, Japan. Its wide form, measuring 33.5 cm across, draws the eye to the deep gradient of indigo blue that fills its center. The color moves from a rich, almost black edge to a luminous, celestial blue at the center, echoing the vastness of the night sky or the shifting tones of the ocean. This finish is achieved through skilled glazing techniques that create subtle, unpredictable variations in shade and texture, making each plate one of a kind.

Otani ware is a centuries-old ceramic tradition from Tokushima Prefecture, known for its large-scale vessels and robust clay bodies.
